In order to help achieve this part of our mission, our office has created the online Broader Impacts Resource Center (BIRC) to better assist faculty in learning about their outreach options and creating compelling Broader Impacts projects in grant proposals.

For faculty members looking to collaborate with our office on K-12 Outreach, the site contains a list of our current programs and the processes for getting involved with any of these programs.

For faculty members seeking to learn more broadly about Broader Impacts (a required element of all NSF grant proposals), the site provides a list of potential partners you can collaborate with for Broader Impacts, successful Broader Impacts examples, and "how to" guides for planning, writing, and assessing your Broader Impacts activities.
