MATH 497: Introduction to Deep Learning in Beijing, China

Travels during the Summer

3 Credits

Prerequisites: MATH 220, MATH 230 or 231, and any computer programming experience

 

This three-week summer program offers a unique opportunity for Penn State undergraduates to fulfill a 400-level MATH course requirement while studying alongside local students at the world-renowned Peking University in Beijing, China. The course covers advanced topics in mathematics, with specific topics to be determined by the teaching faculty each year. In addition to mathematics coursework, students will enjoy cultural activities and field trips to the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

SCHOLARSHIPS

MATH 497 students are eligible to apply for the following scholarships (among many other financial opportunities), some depending on students' individual circumstances:
