Advising at Penn State

Prehealth and Health Professions Advising is available to any Penn State student who wants to explore, prepare, and apply for training in a health professions career, including medicine, podiatry, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, physician assistant, and other allied health professions.

Prehealth Advising offers enhanced services to equip students with the tools they need to excel in preparing their application for a healthcare program. Through the use of a streamlined Health Professions Portfolio, students craft impressive applications that highlight their strengths and experiences effectively. For those pursuing a medical/dental/optometry/podiatry track, the office goes a step further by offering personalized comprehensive reviews, ensuring that students enter their cycle with confidence and readiness.
