Department of Chemistry Receives Grant to Sponsor Summer Undergraduate Research

Seminar Program for Postdoctoral Fellows

The Department of Chemistry invites current postdoctoral fellows who are aspiring for future faculty positions to submit expressions of interest to present their research work at our departmental seminar series. This seminar talk provides an opportunity to practice presenting your work to a broad external audience in a low pressure environment, and involves full day meetings and meals with faculty and graduate students, reflective of the experience you would have during an interview. This is also a great opportunity for our faculty, postdocs and students to meet you and hear about your exciting research! It is important to realize that this is not an interview and we will not be making offers from these talks.

If you would like to be considered for this seminar program, please submit your self-nomination to us by October 15th, 2021. Selected eligible individuals will receive seminar invitations, and will be contacted within two weeks of this date to arrange a visit during December 2021-January 2022. All expenses for travels, hotels and meals related to this visit will be reimbursed. We note that our plan is for on-campus visits; however, we may also conduct these seminars virtually over Zoom or a similar platform if the circumstance over the Covid-19 situation changes around the time of campus visits.
